There is a large spectrum of rates above these (minimum) rates. Here is a rule of thumb of what factors make the rates paid go upwards. They go upwards if :
You are an experienced teacher
You successfully work in a challenging school (as a daily or a long term teacher)
You are in a long term contract (rather the daily work which carries little value)
You have taken on a role of responsibility
You have good references
A teacher meeting the above specifications can obtain up to 238 per day.
Find out what your post 12 week rate will be by : taking your last salary (minus the portion for responsibility) and divide this number by 195 to get daily rate.
