Burdett-Coutts and Townshend Foundation CofE Primary School is located in Central London's borough of Westminster.

In December 2009 the school was inspected by Ofsted. They were awarded 'good' overall with seven areas deemed to be outstanding including: Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development, Care Guidance and Support of our pupils, Safeguarding/Child Protection, pupil safety, healthy lifestyles and wellbeing and contribution of pupils to the community.

Following the introduction of free State education, other changes followed, and on 21st August, 1907, the Rochester Row and Rochester Street school. were amalgamated. The combined schools became the Burdett-Coutts and Townshend Foundation School, Rochester Street, which was then taken over by the London County Council, but administered by a Board of Governors consisting of representatives of the Baroness Burdett-Coutts, the Bishop of London, and the London and Westminster City Councils. The Rochester Row buildings were demolished in 1939 to make way for an extension of the Westminster Technical College.

Today, the Burdett-Coutts and Townshend Foundation School caters for the needs of junior boys, girls, and infants. Its reputation is very high and it jealously maintains the traditions of its past. There continues to be a close and personal link with the church, the Vicar of St Stephen's being a member of the Board of Governors. Links are also still maintained with the Burdett-Coutts family, a member of whom sits on the Board of Trustees.
