Towards the end of September 2007, I applied to a few teaching agencies with regards to obtaining day to day supply teaching, of which teachweb was one of them. I was surprised as to how quickly they acknowledged receipt of my online application, as other agencies I registered with failed to do so, and within the week an interview was arranged. Having now had my interview, I was told that finding day to day supply may be slow due to the time of year. However, I was pleasantly surprised when one week later I received a phone call informing me that a position had come up in a Grammar School in Sidcup, Kent, teaching music (my specialist subject) for four days a week. Of course I was delighted and attended the interview. I was offered a long term position on the spot and I am thoroughly enjoying my time here. All in all, I have found the custom and service of teachweb to be excellent. They are efficient, friendly, patient and still manage to preserve a professional manner. I am particularly satisfied with my Recruitment Consultant, who was, and still remains to be extremely supportive. So a big Thank You to all at teachweb for your hard work! - Joy Ugono, Music Teacher.  Joy Ugono, teacher    All credit to the teachweb team. I found them really helpful. I submitted my CV and within a couple of days they'd found me a great long-term position teaching exam classes in a really lovely school.  Ben Morris, teacher    Thank you so much, started new school - all is well - very friendly staff.  Colin Goodman, teacher    On completion of my registration and submission of my CV, teachweb were able to match me instantly to one of their vacancies. On the same day I had visited the school, did the interview and was into a job by the following day for long term supply. My gratitude to teachweb.   Billy Matthew Bukenya, teacher    teachweb service is really friendly and everything is effortless. Plus the website rocks and after seeing that, I didn't even look at the rest. I forgot to mention the great night out on friday. Just the job. Well done.  Louise Flynn, teacher

Secondary Schools in the South East UK

Rick Smallwood - teachweb's Managing Director still teaches in our client schools. He's a science teacher but get's stuck in to general cover too. He wants to remain a teacher because he and the team are passionate about providing the kind of service schools and children deserve.

Having a presence in client schools enables teachweb to get immediate feedback on its teachers and services - and to respond by improving them fast. teachweb has an excellent knowledge of its client schools and this enables us to make certain our teachers meet the needs of state and private schools.

What do we offer?

  • the quality of service you would expect from a bespoke, personal and teacher lead operation
  • the choice and range of teachers you would expect from a larger organisation ( we recruit from UK and Australian offices).
  • a secondary focused service, we know secondary education and service it well
  • a consistent, fast and honest recruitment service
  • comprehensively vetted teachers - above and beyond national standards. We have a continual focus on keeping up with Dfes guidelines.
  • the confidence of knowing that each teacher is vetted throughly and has been interviewed by an ex-teacher
  • the benefit of 9 years experience in getting the teacher - school fit just right!
  • a cheaper service - we pay our teachers more than our competitors - that should comfort you!

How can we help?

First in terms of getting good, committed teachers through our doors, we have a modern, fun and heavily advertised website and offices in London in Melbourne, Australia. Both promote our high rates and teacher friendly approach to potential candidates.

We vet our teachers very carefully both with the CRB and by use of referees - we do all that is possible to make sure our staff are professional, courteous and above all entitled to work with children.

Our teachers are the highest paid (on average) in the UK. More of "your money" goes out to the teachers than any other agency.

Our Vision

We want to become the preferred recruiter for teachers and schools across the UK and Australia
