The use of Information Communications Technology (ICT) across the curriculum, work experience and our strong links with business and industry ensure that all pupils are prepares realistically for the world of work. A wide range of extra curricular activities including lunchtime and after school clubs (with professional teachers/coaches), various sporting activities, musical and dramatic performances, trips abroad and more locally, are available to enhance the educational experience of all pupils. In May 2005 Her Majesty's Inspectorate described Blackheath Bluecoat as “a good and improving school”.

We have high expectations of all of our pupils and offer them a strong system of support, both academic and pastoral, to help them to achieve in all areas of school life.
