"Students enjoy their learning very much and several commented in the questionnaires and meetings that they 'love this school'. They demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, as seen in a Year 7 music lesson. They say they enjoy being challenged and working at their own pace and cite travel and tourism as one example of where this happens. They are less enthusiastic in lessons where the whole class works at the same pace and this was seen in a few lessons to hold back more able students in particular. Students work exceptionally well together and support each other's learning, as in a French lesson when Year 11 students applauded spontaneously their friend's response."
