"This is a good school and improving school. Pupils' prior attainment on entry to the school is broadly average and they make good progress to achieve above average results in national examinations, particularly their GCSEs. All pupils achieve well because teaching and learning and the curriculum offered are good. Teaching is good because it is characterised by effective planning and a variety of pupil activities which enable most pupils to achieve well. Relationships between teachers and pupils are very good and pupils have very positive attitudes to their learning."
