Beaumont School started life in 1938 and has grown over the years to a school of 1200 students including 300 in the sixth form. We are situated in the east of St Albans in Hertfordshire and are within easy access of the centre of this ancient city. We have an excellent reputation built on hard work and excellent teaching. In 2003 we achieved Language College status and in 2007, having been identified as a High Performing Specialist School , we have been invited to apply for a second specialism in Maths and Computing. We expect this to be confirmed in December 2007. We seek to promote global citizenship through a broad and balanced curriculum. We were delighted to be recognised in this respect with the achievement of the International Award in 2007 from the British Council.

Beaumont has a large sixth form and works closely in partnership with two local schools, Sandringham and Verulam, to provide a sixth form curriculum that is second to none. This consortium of three schools is linked with Oaklands College to provide further 14-19 specialist courses.

The staff create an orderly and purposeful environment which is often commented upon by visitors to the school. We recognise and reward both effort and achievement. We welcome new students with care and sensitivity and work hard to build a distinctive ethos and atmosphere where they can be happy as well as successful. We want our students to leave Beaumont equipped to be ‘lifelong learners' with positive attitudes about their own future development.

Beaumont School works closely with the learning community beyond the school; this includes teaching languages in twelve local primary schools and to the University of the Third Age and support for minority languages on site.

Sometimes you need a helping hand to achieve what you want and that goes for getting good grades at school. We all know how important it is to get good GSCE's and A level's and sometimes your children need "one on one" or group tutoring to achieve it. We have tutors that cover London and the South east of England from our pool of qualified and security checked teachers.
