Meridian has a privileged place in Royston. It is the only school in the
town for students aged between 13 and 19, and as such, has a huge
responsibility placed upon it. Meridian accepts all students of Year 9
age from Royston and local villages and has limited places for entry
in Years 10 and 11. We have a crucial role in developing the skills and
the personality of your child, therefore we make a great effort to get
things right.

In September 2003 the school became a Maths and Computing
College as part of the Government’s policy of encouraging schools to
specialise. Major building projects are underway and the school has
set ambitious targets to continue its programme of improvement and
raise student achievement. The increased provision which specialism
brings has given us the opportunity to enrich the curriculum and to
serve local community needs.
