The Hertfordshire & Essex High School is an all-ability secondary school for girls, which admits boys in the Sixth Form. We are a foundation school and, in 2003, submitted a successful bid to become a Science College.
Ours is a forward-looking school, focused on developing a learning environment that has each student at the centre. All students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, with achievements outside the classroom valued as highly as those within the formal curriculum.
A combination of traditional values - with an emphasis on mutual trust, respect and honesty - with forward-thinking teaching, provides an environment where each student has every opportunity to flourish.
