Prendergast School is a happy and successful school with excellent results. We value commitment to work and good behaviour and have high expectations of our students both socially and academically. Our standards are clearly communicated to parents/guardians and students and we work in partnership with them to maintain a positive learning culture in which the students can thrive.

The aim of the school is to create an environment in which girls of all abilities learn to enjoy working hard in order to fulfill their potential. Whatever they undertake, in academic, sporting, dramatic or musical activities, they are encouraged to do with enthusiasm. Their courtesy and co-operation in school is encouraged to create an atmosphere in which they respect the rights and needs of others and develop a sense of responsibility and service to the community. All girls are encouraged to value their own culture, while at the same time understanding and respecting those from different backgrounds. As an illustration of this, girls of all faiths attend Assemblies which are held every morning and form an important focus for the school day. Prendergast welcomes the multi-ethnic nature of the pupil intake and is unequivocally opposed to racism.
