A valued client school in a north London is looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of art, ideally one who is also able to teach textiles, to cover for long term sick leave.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, creative and experienced in teaching Art and Textiles to GCSE level.  The ideal candidate will have evidence of excellent classroom practice, high expectations of pupil attainment and evidence of the ability to motivate and engage learners.
The successful candidate will have:

  • A post-graduate Qualified Teacher Status qualification, e.g. PGCE
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Outstanding teaching practice
  • Experience teaching at a secondary level
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the subject
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A commitment to working as part of this close, supportive team
  • The ability to motivate and inspire
  • A desire to be involved in the wider community of the school
  • The drive to teach in a great school full of keen students and to build on existing success
