Part-time Art teacher required to teach in a wonderful, oversubscribed Surrey school

An oversubscribed state secondary school achieving 70% A*-C grades is seeking a part-time teacher of Art, to join a vibrant and friendly team. The post is expected to last for at least one term, with the possibility of becoming permanent, with exact days per week to be arranged.

The school is a big fan of teachers from Australia and New Zealand so this post would suit a teacher in the UK on a working holiday. We also accept UK-qualified teachers, as well as any other candidate who has the appropriate prerequisite teaching qualification at UK state schools.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • An official post-graduate Qualified Teacher Status qualification, e.g. PGCE
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Outstanding teaching practice
  • Experience teaching at a secondary level
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the subject
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A commitment to working as part of this close, supportive team
  • The ability to motivate and inspire
  • A desire to be involved in the wider community of the school
  • The drive to teach in a great school full of keen students and to build on existing success
