RE and History teaching job at good academy for girls in SW London

RE and History teacher needed at good girls’ academy in SW London

This is a large inner city comprehensive school for girls with a small number of boys in the sixth form.  It is recognised as a Science Specialist School and has the coveted ‘Sportsmark’ and ‘Artsmark Gold’ awards.  Exam results continue to be very good at KS4 and 6th form results too are well above national averages.  Ofsted rated this school to be “Good” overall, noting in particular that the school “provides a good education” and that pupils “respect each other, behave well and value the outstanding opportunities they have to contribute to the school and wider community”.

The school buildings are an award winning design by London County Council architects.  A landscaped site of 13 acres provides a campus style design together with an adjoining sports field. Teaching is centred in two main blocks containing specialist, modern and well-resourced areas for each department.  The separate PE building includes three large gymnasia and even a swimming pool.
