Teaching jobs in Drama

A Drama teacher should know how to use a variety of dramatic conventions to explore ideas, issues, texts and meanings, and use different ways to convey action, character, atmosphere and tension in scripting and performing plays. Teaching Drama involves pupils being taught how to appreciate how the structure and organisation of scenes and plays contributes to dramatic effect. Pupils will also learn how to critically evaluate the intentions and performance of dramas in which they have participated or have watched.
