Health and Social Care teaching job at good new academy in SW London

Health and Social Care teacher needed from next term at newly built academy in SW London

This is a newly built 11-18 academy in south west London that offers a personalised, "stage not age" curriculum for students of all abilities. Its Arts specialism includes drama, dance, music and visual arts but also has a far-reaching impact on the curriculum offered across the academy.

At the most recent inspection, Ofsted reported that the behaviour of students around the academy was good, and that good progress was being made by most students. Ofsted stated that “Students are proud to belong to the academy and say they are 'really safe and happy'". They also commented that "warm and positive relationships between different groups of students are a strength of the academy's work" and that “The improved reputation of the academy in the local community has meant that it is increasingly selected as a first choice school".

Applications are welcomed from newly qualified and experienced teachers of Health and Social Care who have:

  • Outstanding classroom practice
  • High expectations of children's achievements and behaviour
  • A commitment to teamwork
  • The ability to motivate and inspire
